    Nous sommes heureux de voir la revue californienne et marxiste Jump Cut sortir un nouveau numéro des plus riches et intéressants !

    Rappel à nos fidèles lecteurs, nous avions publié dans notre numéro 13 de la revue tausend augen (il y a tout juste 10 ans!) une traduction d'un article majeur de John Hess, originellement paru dans Jump Cut : "La politique des auteurs, l'esthétique comme conception du monde".

    Continuing from the editorial in JC 49 on contemporary political film, we are extending the analysis with a look at new films that deal with the Iraq war, its representation (in film) and misrepresentation (by the Bush administation), and the issue of torture. We are waiting for our chance to see the new Errol Morris film, Standard Operating Procedure, which seems especially important for this topic.
